Friday Faithbite

I’ve just come back from holiday. I love to travel, hearing different languages, trying new foods, seeing new places, I love all of it (except for the jet lag, that I do not like at all). Flying in an aeroplane over houses that look like lego bricks and people that are so small they are almost invisible, reminds me of how amazing God is. He knows, loves and cares about each one of those people that look like specks to me. There is nowhere that we can go, no distance that we can travel that will hide us from Him.

The world is a big and beautiful place, however as we all know it can also be dark and cruel. The good news is that it’s not our home. We are just passing through here. We are called to be in the world but not of the world. We live on Earth but it’s not our eternal citizenship. We are citizens of heaven, welcomed in by the King of kings. The almighty God that called chaos into order and loves us enough to let us call him Dad.

So while I fully intend to travel this Earth as much as I can and enjoy exploring God’s creation, I know that nothing that I see in this life can compare with what awaits us in the next. What an incredible thought.

“No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.””

1 Corinthians 2:9
